Veterans Cause is a Harrisburg, PA based PTSD treatment organization. As affiliates come on-line you will have the ability to be forwarded to their sites.

Veterans Cause is launching a new program at our Middletown, PA home, woodworking.   Our veterans can learn woodturning and other woodworking skills.  Hopeful to launch by Summer 2021.

Veterans who have honorably served our country are returning home with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), only to find that there are few services available.   A 2010 Veterans Administration (VA) study states that 22 veterans commit suicide each day.   Keep in mind that California, Michigan, and 5 other States do not provide Veteran Suicide statistics, and more disturbing, if alcohol is involved it may not be counted.  We have declared THAT’s ENOUGH!

We have searched the area to find an established organization that offers anonymous, non-clinical PTSD peer to peer interaction and found none.  In our research, PTSD affected veterans have insisted that peer to peer meetings have been one of the few thing that has been of assistance in their healing. Veterans Cause celebrates our 4 year anniversary on Veterans Day, November 11, 2018.

Veterans Cause also offers Complementary & Alternative Therapies including, but not limited to: Acupuncture, Reiki, Harmonic Sound, EMDR, Tapping, all by certified Therapists, all are free and anonymous to our guests.

Veterans Cause was founded in early 2014 as a pilot program to assist veterans in need, the opportunity to meet with other PTSD suffering veterans.   Veterans Cause is not a counseling group but a veteran to veteran interactive group similar in structure to an AA meeting. Veterans Cause does not request DD-214’s or any veteran identification to participate.

The core of VC is bases upon: mutual helpfulness, mutual interests, mutual respect, security, spirituality, healing & wellness, accountability, and anonymity.   If an attending veteran wishes to have individual counseling, Veterans Cause will arrange and pay for all personal sessions.   Meetings are for veterans from all conflicts, suffering from PTSD.

If you’re a veteran, consider assisting Veterans Cause’s outreach, where veterans respond to family requests to visit and talk with PTSD affected veterans about the services we provide and other services available locally.

What can you do?   Mothers, fathers, family, and friends, you know who the PTSD affected Veterans are who will not get the services they earned. Veterans Cause needs you to inform your loved one that they are NOT ALONE and there are other Veterans who get together locally and work on their problems together. To forward the name of a PTSD affected veteran in need, go to the CONTACT US page
